gps bretagne pipe band gradlon piping society aller au contenu accueil articles archivés agenda a propos… photos vidéos livre d’or liens / partenaires contact membres ← articles plus anciens la nouvelle structure du gps pipe band ! publié le 28 avril 2017 par delphine find a translation in english at the end of this article. le gps pipe band a été créé en 2010 à pont-aven, pour rassembler des accros à la musique de pipe band. il est très vite devenu évident qu’il était indispensable d’y associer de la formation pour pérenniser le groupe. facile à dire, moins facile à mettre en œuvre quand on démarre… il nous aura donc fallu quelques années pour réussir à mettre en place une vraie structure de formation. la formation batterie a ouvert la voie, puis celle des ténors, et enfin celle en cornemuse cette année. nous sommes aussi arrivés à la conclusion que les musiciens en apprentissage chez nous, ou qui arrivaient avec déjà un certain niveau, devaient pouvoir jouer rapidement en ensemble pipe band, pour découvrir au plus tôt le plaisir de jouer en kilt (et on vous assure que c’est le pied, tous ceux qui ont testé sont d’accord là-dessus !) et pour décupler leur motivation, parfaire leur compréhension du jeu pipe band , etc.! nous avons donc cogité à une structure qui pourrait accueillir des musiciens quel que soit leur niveau. et c’est ainsi qu’est né…… tin tin tin (musique de suspense)…… le gps 3d ! « ok, c’est quoi ça ? » nous direz-vous. eh bien ce sont les trois « groupes » qui forment désormais le gps. on trouve à la base la piping & drumming school (école de cornemuse et batterie si vous préférez), qui accueille les tout-débutants. ensuite vient le gps college pipe band (le pipe band école, quoi !), qui rassemble à la fois les musiciens en perfectionnement (les jeunes qui montent) et ceux pour lesquels le rythme du groupe a est trop soutenu (parce qu’ils n’ont pas forcément le temps de tout bosser par exemple). enfin vient l’aîné du gps, le groupe a, le gps pipe band . le but de l’association gps dans les années qui viennent ? monter les échelons pour le groupe a afin d’atteindre le haut niveau (et c’est parti, ça bosse dur !), et atteindre la catégorie 3b pour le groupe college. exigence et rigueur tout en prenant son pied ! ce qui est primordial à nos yeux : que ces trois entités ne forment qu’un seul et même groupe, le gps ! les différents leaders des trois niveaux travaillent ensemble au choix du répertoire dans un souci de cohérence, de cohésion, et de satisfaction générale. pas trop de partos, des airs fun à alterner avec les standards pipe band, un programme de concert divertissant avec la possibilité de mixer les différents niveaux : c’est l’orientation choisie par la nouvelle commission musicale et la nouvelle équipe pédagogique (sous l’égide de la nouvelle présidence), pour le plaisir de tous ! toutes les répétitions et stages ont lieu au même moment : tout le monde peut ainsi se croiser, s’écouter, échanger, partager, et c’est essentiel ! et puis on n’oublie pas qu’ un groupe, c’est aussi une vie en dehors des répés et prestas, avec des conjoints, des familles … ! donc tout au long de l’année seront organisés des « évènements conviviaux », type cochon-grillé, journée champignons, sortie kayak… à chacun de proposer ses idées selon les envies ! car chacun, quels que soient son âge, son ancienneté dans le groupe, son niveau, peut et doit faire entendre son avis, c’est ainsi que le groupe avancera ! il a d’ailleurs été décidé que, dans un souci de transparence et d’échange, les réunions du conseil d’administration, communes aux trois entités, seront ouvertes à tous les membres. ce conseil d’administration sera au service du groupe ! la devise du gps est plus que jamais d’actualité : iter facere ! ( tracer sa route ) gps pipe band was created in 2010 in pont-aven, in order to gather people mad about pipe band music. it quickly became obvious that it was essential to settle teaching to perpetuate the band. easy to say, less easy to implement for a brand new band. that’s why it took us several years to enforce a real strong teaching framework. the snare-drumming school opened the way, then tenors school, and at last the piping school. we also came to the conclusion that the learning musicians of gps, and that ones who arrive with a good level, must have the opportunity to play straight away in pipe band, to discover as soon as possible the pleasure to play wearing a kilt (and we can assure you that it’s just great, all people who tried agree with that !) and to grow their motivation, help them to understand the pipe band way of playing , etc. we than thought about a framework that could welcome musicians of each level. and that’s how is born……………..drum bearings………………….the gps 3d ! « ok, what’s that ? » will you tell us. well, it’s the three « bands » that make today the gps ! you can find at the base the piping & drumming school , welcoming the beginners. then comes the gps college pipe band , gathering musicians in training (young ones) and those who find the rythm of the a band too advanced (because they don’t have time enough to practice with all the scores for example). at least comes the eldest, the « a » band : gps pipe band . the goal of the association gps in the following years ? to work its way up for the a band in order to get to the high pipe band level (and the band is already working hard for that), to reach the 3b level for the college band. strictness and pleasure ! what is essential to us : that these three bands make finally one single band, gps ! the leaders of the three levels work together to select the musical program for consistency, cohesion and general satisfaction. not too many scores to learn, with an entertaining program for concerts, pipe band standards, medleys and msr for competition, with the possibility to mix the different levels : that is the new direction chosen by the new musical committee and the new teaching team (with the agreement of the new presidence), for everybody’s enjoyment. all the workshops take place at the same time and the same place : all the members have then the opportunity to talk, listen to each other, exchange, share, and that’s the key ! and we don’t forget that a band, it’s a life outside music as well, with members families… ! all along the year, we’ll plan « friendly events », like barbecues, mushrooms-day, kayak… everyone can give ideas ! each member, whatever his age, entry date in the band, level, can and must give his opinion, that’s the way to make the band go further ! we decided that, for transparency and exchanges, meetings will be opened to all the members and not only to these ones of the governing body. the gps motto is more than ever true : iter facere ! (trace your way) publié dans actus | marqué avec caisse-claire , cornemuse , drumming school , gps pipe band , pipe-band , piping school , pont-aven , ténor | laisser un commentaire stage batterie à brasparts avec les experts gus sicard, jordan bailie et stevie kilbride publié le 24 avril 2017 par delphine un peu d’ecosse dans les monts d’arrée… les 22 et 23 avril, la kevrenn de la pont-aven et le gps pipe band ont organisé un stage batterie, qui s’est tenu au centre ti menez are à brasparts (un cadre exceptionnel !). nous avons eu le grand plaisir d’accueillir des formateurs de très haut niveau : gus sicard a pris en charge le pupitre caisse-claire, jordan bailie le pupitre ténors du gps pipe band (tous deux jouent à inveraray & district pipe band), et stevie kilbride (ancien des shotts) le pupitre ténors du brieg pipe band (pupitre formé à la kevrenn de pont-aven). quelques batteurs et pipes de brieg les ont rejoints pour l’occasion… de l’avis de tous, un grand moment de partage et d’apprentissage. un travail intense dans une ambiance détendue et conviviale. le pied ! on remet ça l’année prochaine, avec les mêmes intervenants, of course ! et avec les pipes en plus !… découvrez l’intégralité de l’album photo
